We are in a selfish and individualist society. We are working hard all day and when we arrive home we are that tired that the only thing we want is to relax, eat dinner, watch TV and then go to bed to sleep for the next stressful day. That is why in many countries as The UK, people is buying more and more fast food or ready made food in the supermarkets.
We are loosing the habits of cooking, putting the table and do the washing just because it is so much convenient to hit a prepared meal up in the microwave.
If when we are tired of our long day of work we just want to treat ourselves, because ‘we deserve it’ and buy some convenient food and watch TV. Why can we not mix TV Programmes and Food? It is like a self indulgent MEAL, like a HAPPY MEAL for adults. It comes with a substitute of the ‘happy meal’ toy, something to get exited with and the TV programme information. And it is even more convenient that any food packaging in the market because any thing else would be needed. Except the drink everything its included in the box, napkins, cutlery,… its so easy to eat and dump it afterwards!!
It is a reflection of a selfish and individualist society through the ‘MEAL FOR ONE’. We live in a super consumerism society where people think ‘if it makes you happy, buy it!. We are in the disposable society where everything can be thrown away. We just buy by impulse because we think we deserve it and that is all we want to know. We can buy pretty much anything. So, why don’t buy TV DINNERS? It’s like buying an experience, it’s like buying company, it’s like buying a daily gift for yourself, it’s like buying laziness, it’s like buying convenience, it’s like buying a great evening.
