Multi: A Solution for a Lack of Space

Business, consumers, and the environment are commonly thought to have competing interests. My project is an attempt to find common interests and achieve reconciliation between these groups through design.

It is an attempt to discover consumers’ true needs from a religious point of view. I have focused on the Christian notion of the Seven Deadly Sins. I’ve attempted to use consumers’ greed and laziness in an attempt to get them to make the right choices.

If consumers like the design, the price might be an obstacle to a purchasing decision. Therefore, I have tried to investigate what kind of function of product can be combined along and still maintain the same amount of production expenses.

Finally, the environment issue, less space to live will be one of the most serious problems people need to address in coming decades. The best thing we as designers can do is to design things to make the best use of everything so that people won’t need to buy unneeded products.

Through these arguments, eventually, I utilized multifunctional design as my design strategy to approach the goal.
