WE Collection

The WE collection, a hybrid of the West and East, is designed by transforming Eastern and Western cultures into narratives of everyday objects. The distinctive product identity of the objects in the collection reflects the richness of the hybridization in cultures which gives unique sensual and intellectual pleasures for people living within the cross-cultural society. Each object is an innovation invented to enhance and enrich the dinning experience in the new fusion era.

Three stories drawing homage to our cultures...

tea glass set - to our shared love of tea

In both English and Japanese cultures, tea is served and consumed in a delicate manner with special tools. The tea glass set is designed to modernize the ritual of tea drinking.

dinning ring -  a marriage of chopstick rest and napkin ring

Mankind use fingers by nature in the consumption of food at the beginning. The development from fingers to the use of chopsticks which leads to the design of chopstick rests in the East is interestingly different from the invention of napkins, which leads to the creation of napkin rings in the West. Similarly, they both act as social markers on the dinning table. The dinning ring is designed to be used as chopstick rest or napkin ring depending on the occasion.

spice buds - our blossom love in spices

In Eastern countries, soya sauce and chilli sauce are the main spices on the dinning table. In the West, salt and pepper are used instead. With a growing trend of having international cuisine, all four spices are becoming popular and appear on the same dinning table. Spice buds are designed to contain the four different types of spices: soya, salt, chilli and pepper.
