This project gives a unique perspective on what the mobile communication devices of the next 10-15 years might look like.
The work was informed through a detailed consideration of both cultural and technological trends and the relationship between these. The designers' visions extend beyond familiar notions of "more technology = more features =better product" to reflect more genuine concerns and experiences of the users.
Hence the range of concepts embraces issues such as sustainability, customisation, social capital and surveillance. This approach reflects the
diverse backgrounds and cultures of the designers featured 12 countries are represented, along with training and experience in areas ranging from genetic
engineering to architecture to fine art.

This project was a wonderful opportunity for Nokia to collaborate with some of the industrial designers of tomorrow. Central Saint Martins is a truly
international institution and one that Nokia is proud to be associated with for the purposes of this project. Nokia is delighted with the results. The
various approaches demonstrate many fascinating and unique views of the futureof mobile communications and we are pleased to give you the opportunity to see them here.
