Home Security System

This home security system, designed for the elderly, consists of two parts - an alarm and locking system based around the front door of the dwelling, and a wrist worn communicator.

The front door handle incorporates the alarm system - as the user locks the door the alarm system is automatically activated, as they unlock it, the alarm is automatically deactivated. There are no complex codes or extra processes to remember.

The wrist worn communicator notifies the user if the alarm system is activated whilst they are out, and allows them to communicate, at the push of a button, with the police, health workers or a relative.
