The Wise Carpet

The Wise Carpet uses biometrics and piezoelectronics sensors to create a pressure sensitive mat underneath the carpet. This mat allows the 'magic carpet' to calculate the footprint size, weight and height of each person walking on it. The system, checking this information against the 'footprints' stored in it's memory, is able to 'recognise' family members.

The carpet also allows the family to 'authorize' friends to enter the home ... however, if someone tries to enter without any of the family members present the system will identify them as an intruder, sound the alarm and store the intruders data for use as evidence by the police.
