The application for the 2008 India Scholarship has now closed
Following a series of interviews by Ben in India, the scholarship was awarded to Rohan Chhabra, a Pearl Academy, India graduate. The announcement was made at a reception hosted by Sir Richard Stagg, British High Commissioner on Saturday 12th April. Rohan is pictured below with Sheelagh Douglas, Pro-Rector of the University, also with Ben and Robert Green from the International Development Office.

We are pleased to be able to offer this scholarship, a collaboration between University of the Arts London, and RSA India, to an Indian Student who wishes to study industrial design in the UK.
This scholarship covers course fees only.
Start Date: September
Course duration: 2 years
Scholarship Requirements: An honours degree; or evidence of experiential learning equivalent to a degree.
Suitable candidates
The course is primarily intended for those with a first degree in product design, three-dimensional design or furniture design. However, we also accept applicants from related disciplines such as ceramic design, interface design, architecture, engineering and ergonomics. Applicants must also demonstrate that they are sufficiently versed in design practice or a related field, and that their personal and professional aspirations are compatible with the aims of the course.

Once completed, applicants should scan their completed application and Email it to ck@arts.ac.uk

Applications should be marked "India Scholarship" and include a study proposal as well as 2 images of work in .jpg form no larger than 1 MB each. The deadline for application is 21st March 2008. Applications received later than this date will not be considered.
From initial applications the course director for MA Industrial Design will draw up a shortlist of applicants who will be invited to interview in Delhi in early April.
